AUTISM TREATMENT PLUS Terms & Conditions
Receiving a diagnosis, advice or treatment by any of the practitioners at Autism Treatment Plus (AT+), implies that you agree to AT+’s Terms & Conditions. If you have any queries, please ask to speak to the clinic director.
Definitions
“we”, “us”,” Autism Treatment Plus”, “AT+” refers to the clinics run by Autism Treatment Trust Limited. “you”, “client”, “patient” refers to a customer of Autism Treatment Trust Limited.
General
By becoming or being a customer at AT+, your agreement with these terms and conditions is implied. These terms and conditions may be updated without prior notice, when and if we do so, we will send you the updated terms and conditions on the Practice Better Portal. It is your responsibility to read and understand these terms and conditions.
Services
AT+ provides a range of services including diagnostic, nutritional, dietary and educational. AT+’s team of consultants and advisors comprises professionals in the field of autism including, medical doctors, nutritionist, research scientists, behavioural analysts and psychologists. These professionals aim to ensure we are providing a holistic approach to diagnosing and intervention.
Cost of services
We may adjust the cost at any time in response to changes in inflation and currency exchange rates as some of our products originate from the rest of Europe and the United States. We may revise the cost of our services annually to account for economic changes.

Making bookings
You may book appointments with us online by booking on your client portal (see below),, by telephone or by email.A booking may be refused to clients who miss two or more appointments without prior notification.
Online patient portal (Practice Better)
The Practice Better Clinic portal enables an easy sharing of key information on your child, such as evaluation forms, food diary, level of autism, as well as lab results and consultation reports. We will ask you to complete a series of questionnaires in advance of the consultation. You can use this portal to communicate with us, book an appointment, see the recommendations we make, meetings notes and protocols, and any lab tests results we receive. You can also use the portal to upload any relevant reports you may wish to share with us.
Appointment confirmation and cancellations
At the time of your booking you will receive an email from Practice Better to confirm the time and date of your booking, whether the consultation is done via Zoom, phone or face to face at the clinic. You will receive a reminder a day before our consultation by email and text. If you give us less than 4 days’ notice when cancelling a clinic face to face booking, you agree to pay up to the full cost of your treatment. Zoom consultations can be rearranged pending our availability. Full cancellation of a Zoom call appointment given with less than 24hr notice will not be refunded. We sometimes need to contact you to change the time and/or date of your booking. Whenever possible, we will give you as much notice as we can when doing this. In the instance of unforeseen staff illness, we may be forced to reschedule your appointment at short notice.
Arrival times
Zoom appointments
We recommend that you connect to your Practice Better portal and clinic on the camera icon prior to our call (a few minutes or so). The call will start when the practitioner starts the call at the agreed time. If you have any difficulties with the zoom call you can message us on practice better.
Clinic appointments
We recommend that you arrive up to 5 min before a clinic appointment, allowing sufficient travel time. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, we may reschedule your treatment for another time and you may be charged up to the full cost of your appointment. If you arrive late and receive a shorter treatment than normal, you agree to pay the full cost of that treatment. Remote communications by electronic means. Some consultations will be conducted by online Zoom. If you contact us more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, we may reschedule your appointment for another time and you may be charged up to the full cost of your appointment. If you call us late and receive a shorter consultation than normal, you agree to pay the full cost of that treatment.
Treatments and services
Advice to new patients will only be given after receiving an initial or recent progress consultation. This may involve physical examination or advice.
Payment
We ask you for full payment in advance, in order to secure any booking. This payment is non-refundable in the absence of mitigating circumstances, but may be put towards the cost of future consultation or any cancellation charges applied. Mitigating circumstances include genuine, unforeseen ill health or personal crisis. If the payment is not received prior to our appointment, we will cancel our booking and may not accept further bookings. All payments are done online via debit card. A receipt of your payment will be sent right away by email.
Lab tests
Laboratory tests are commissioned from a range of approved laboratories in the UK, EU and USA and should be covered in order to receive the kits. The cost of these tests does not include the analysis of the results and treatment plan. These will be covered in a separate consultation after reception of the lab results.

Supplements
We have carefully selected a range of supplements for their quality, purity and efficacy. We would not be able to vouch for alternative brands which may have similar contents and I would not be able to comment on their efficacy. The online shop (https://www.lauristonlabs.co.uk/) has been set up specifically to support families to access reliable products imported from around the world. These are core products, we have additional products not online which I may recommend, based on needs. Online information on additional products we do not have will be provided when required.
Complaints
If you have a complaint about the service you have received from us, you are welcome to consult one of our colleagues for a second opinion. If you are unable to accept the second professional opinion from us, you may put your complaint in writing to the director of Autism Treatment Plus Limited for further consideration.
Conduct
We will refuse providing advice to families who behave in an ill-mannered, aggressive or hostile way towards any member of staff. This includes the inconsiderate expectation to respond immediately to messages or excessive email or phone requests. In such instances, we will issue a written warning and on second occurrence of such a problem, we will discontinue our services to families.
Refunds
At our discretion, we can offer a full refund on retail products if they are unused, in their original packaging, in a fully sealed condition and are accompanied by a relevant receipt, presented within 28 days of purchase. We do not offer a refund for treatments/services received unless we acknowledge that the service received was below the professional standard we strive to achieve.
Data handling / privacy
Any information you give us during your treatment is protected under the Data Protection Act. Your records may be kept electronically. We will not pass any of your details on to anyone outside of Autism Treatment Plus Limited without your express permission. An example of someone we might contact on your behalf is your doctor if we feel you need medical investigation. We may use your address details to post you supplements, information about new treatments, newsletters or special offers unless you decline this service. We will only use your telephone numbers and e-mail address for contacting you about your appointment time. Our reports, invoices, statements and receipts will be sent electronically by e-mail or online. We will use your e-mail address to send our newsletter. You can unregister from this service at any point. We will not use your telephone numbers for marketing purposes.
Research
AT+ aims to conduct some research and evaluation of the treatment protocols whenever possible. As one of our families, you may be offered the opportunity to enroll in one of our studies. However, this is subject to the study requirements, and in particular with regard to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, therefore your child may not be eligible to participate. If you do take part in a study, a full study protocol will be provided and a signed consent form will be requested in order for your child to participate. You may withdraw from the study at any point. We may also ask to use some of your child’s data (laboratory results, behavioural, clinical and developmental profile) anonymously to report our findings at conferences or in the form of publications. At no point would the data shared enable the identification of your child. We will inform you in advance were we to use your child’s information and explain exactly how we intend to use it. We would ask for a signed consent form to be provided to cover the use of such information.
